Zeiss Spins-Off Fixture Systems Group – Metrology and Quality News

Carl Zeiss Fixture Systems GmbH will operate independently as FIXTURE TECH Solutions GmbH from July 2022. The new owner of the company is the long-term oriented investment group ASC, which has taken over 100% of the shares of the company with its approximately 100 employees.

In the future, FIXTURE TECH Solutions will focus on topics related to jigs and mounting systems, loading solutions and new technologies such as the eMOBEE autonomous transport system. The ZEISS Group will continue to be a strategic partner of FIXTURE TECH Solutions GmbH.

FIXTURE TECH Solutions GmbH will develop and manufacture at its production site in Tholey, Germany, measuring equipment for the international manufacturing industry, including manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic loading systems for industrial applications. Founded in 1995 as an owner-managed company “Junker and Partner”, it became a subsidiary of ZEISS Industrial Metrology GmbH as a supplier of the ZEISS “Car Body Solutions” portfolio. The company will once again be independent on the market.

Automated fastening solutions for the automotive and aerospace industries

“FIXTURE TECH is perfectly positioned to become the independent leader in jigs and fixtures as well as automation solutions in the automotive segment and new industries, thanks to its extensive know-how and key skills” declares Frederic Hierl, CEO of ASC Investment during his presentation to the general meeting. ASC is an internationally operating industrial holding company that provides tailor-made support to medium-sized companies and helps them find a healthy growth trajectory, internationalize sales and expand into adjacent product niches.

New chief executive Francesco di Bari explained the new spirit, saying: “Our name FIXTURE TECH shows that we will become an agile leader in the field of jigs and fixtures and technologically advanced automation solutions and at the same time remain the reliable partner of our international customers, some of whom we have already supported for the past 25 year”. The experienced executive, who has already led numerous successful spin-offs, in the automotive and telecommunications sectors, therefore sees excellent potential for a future growth path for the company.
