In footage captured on dashcam and shown on 9NewsHunt and another man argue over the incident at Beaumaris in Melbourne around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the second vehicle then appeared to punch Hunt.

“Can you just walk away? Just walk away,” the driver behind the pair then heard say.

Hunt then returned with what appeared to be a gardening tool, approaching the other vehicle and saying to the other driver, “You want to die?”

“Rex, leave it,” one person then says.

According to onlookers, Hunt’s wife, Lynne, was also in the car at the time of the incident.

“His wife was there, and his dog was in the back, and he was just threatening the guy,” witness Byron Hughes told Nine News.

“I told my buddy to back up, get out. His wife is just trying to tell him to get back in the car.

“Lose your shit.”

The other driver then allegedly chased Hunt “aggressively” and was seen “punching the trees”.

This is not the first time the 76-year-old has been involved in a public road rage altercation.

In 2009 Hunt was ordered to work as a kitchen helper for the underprivileged after a cyclist broke his finger during an argument on North Road in Elwood.

A judge later found Hunt guilty of recklessly causing injury.
