5-piece Hard Rocking band from Liverpool, Revival Black, make a sensational comeback with their second album “Under The Light” via TMR Rock Records. Categorized as New Wave of Classic Rock is a good way to describe the young band. Although enough labels, the guys seem to imprint their refined sound I think. The up-and-coming Brits bring soul and firepower with their new album, and with a clean overall production to boot, they’re ready to make waves.

Vocalist Dan Byrne boosts some highs that complement the band’s rhythm quite well. Here is a patented slab of Classic Rock and Hardened Hard Rock for a new generation of Rockers.

The band’s single “Broken Home” instantly becomes a recognizable sound when you first hear it. The chunky rhythm and licks leave a mark. The slower ballad of “Hemispheres” presents a nice acceleration of the tempo before picking up halfway through. A pretty rock ballad halfway through the album. The rif-fest party brigade continues to beat a new league with “Left Of Me” instantly providing a refreshing cut to its base. Byrne’s vocals once again provide a nice lead here, to complete the groovy sound.

The album ends with another Rocker in “Wrong Side” and “Hurricane”, two mid-tempo rockers that deliver beautiful anthemic choruses and thicker bass and drums. The latter dipping the groove halfway through and the guitar solos triggering the tempo change, a nice way to end the album. A roundup of 10 killer tunes to cement the record and final seal of approval.

Always good to find new talent in the often crowded Hard Rock verse, but these young cats have proven themselves to attract more attention. The record was recorded at the famed The Motor Museum studios in Liverpool, and ultimately delayed due to issues with vinyl production, it’s good to finally hear this one. TMR Rock Records have promised to continue to promote all of the UK’s top Hard Rock n Roll talent and these guys have solidified themselves on the scene. Check them!!!
