E-commerce retailer Flipkart has partnered with electric fleet operator Magenta Mobility to deploy 400 electric cargo vehicles for its fleet serving the National Capital Region (Delhi NCR). With this agreement, Magenta officially enters the NCR of Delhi. The rollout goes beyond Magenta’s existing fleet for Flipkart in Bengaluru.

Magenta Mobility operates an electric fleet of over 500 vehicles in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai, serving customers in e-commerce, grocery delivery, FMCG, food and pharmaceuticals. To date, its electric freight fleet has traveled more than a million kilometers, avoiding around 150 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Magenta Mobility plans to deploy a fleet of over 500 electric vehicles in Delhi this year to meet the needs of organizations looking to transition to clean mobility.

“The electrification of the logistics fleet is a key part of Flipkart’s broader sustainability goal and consistent with its commitment to the Climate Group’s EV100 initiative,” Flipkart said. “The collaboration reinforces Flipkart’s plans to introduce more than 25,000 electric vehicles into its supply chain to achieve a 100% transition to e-mobility by 2030.”
