For years, the Magazine of Country Music could be found in most restaurants, laundromats, and country music bars in several Macomb County communities, especially in Warren and Center Line.
The monthly magazine featured interviews with various country stars ranging from Willie Nelson to George Strait to Larry Lee & The Rascals. He also focused on the local country scene and performers.
It was the creation of Tom Tesnow, a Warren-based fan and editor who was involved with Eastside News.
Now, after more than 40 years, Tesnow is printing the farewell edition of the magazine this week.
“We are celebrating by hosting two farewell parties on Saturday August 14 and 21,” he wrote in a press release.
